Clash of the Titans! Harryhausen v. Bradbury v. Hamlin!
Science fiction fans in the rest of the world must be insanely jealous of Angelenos. Tonight we get to watch Clash of the Titans on big screen — and then watch Ray Harryhausen, Ray Bradbury and Harry Hamlin talk about it afterward.
You might know Ray Harryhausen is the 85-year-old visual effects genius who made monsters come to life in Clash of the Titans, Jason and the Argonauts and more. Ray Bradbury is also 85; he's the irrepressable author of Farenheight 451, the Martian Chronicles and more. And Harry Hamlin is the 50-something hunk who starred in Clash of the Titans, LA Law and more. They're all coming together for the launch of the Hollywood's Master Storytellers series at the Mann Chinese 6 in Hollywood. Will they rumble? Will a Medusa head be produced? We can only hope.
Tickets, which are just $12.50, are still available. The show starts at 7:30pm tonight.
