I too rather enjoyed Brick. It was like Maltese Falcon (especially that last scene on the football field) reworked and transmogrified...I spoke to a stranger at the Arclight after the show who also brought up The Big Sleep. Not bad for a wee little picture!

The director of Brick was on the Treatment with Elvis Mitchell recently as well - go podcast it!

Brick is definitely one of the best films to come out in a good while. Sharp, smart, witty, well-written, well-acted, and just overall very well done. The movie industry should take note of this film.
