An Ugly Trend

What is up with all the bodies being found in cars of late? Just this past weekend, a cab driver was found dead in his car in Lancaster as was an as-yet-to-be identified woman near Hawthorne. Apparently just announcing that you want to go Los Angeles and become a star is enough to get you killed and put in a trunk. That's what appears to have happened to a Texas woman in February. Her remains were ID'ed yesterday.

We don't mean to wear out the Law & Order references today but all these stories do feel like a particularly grisly episode of SVU. Hopefully our own homicide detectives will be able to solve the crimes just as quickly as their tv counterparts do.
