AM news: immigration, a cop, 4 burgers and a Card

As people continue to pour out into LA streets to protest immigration "reform," the pundits awaken. The LA Times notices that Spanish-language DJ Eddie "Piolín" Sotelo was a major force behind Saturday's rally; Salon thinks the activists may say "hola" to the Democratic party; the Daily Breeze wants us to slow down, please.
LAUSD will be in lock-down to prevent further student walkouts today. Chief Bratton suggests that the cold rain will also encourage students to stay indoors.
The new Sierra Madra police chief Marilyn Diaz is profiled in the LA Times. She's the first female city police chief in LA County. Ever.
From the Do I Get Fries With That? Department: a Palmdale man was charged $4,334.33 for 4 burgers on his ATM card. The cashier at his neighborhood Burger King typed 4.33 — twice — then swiped his card. The 4 grand zoomed electronically off to Burger King and customer George Beane couldn't pay his morgage. It took three days to get a refund from the chain. Next time, George, pay cash.
And big news in Washington: Bush's abysmal poll numbers meant something had to change in his administration, and that change is chief of staff Andrew Card. He's not chief of staff anymore, as of this morning.
