The chick of The Standard's Chiquarium

If you've spent time near the front desk of The Standard on Sunset in West Hollywood, you may have noticed there's a woman there in a glass case. She's on display wearing very little, a tank top and boxer shorts or boy shorts, all white. What's it like to the be the girl in the box?

Hotel Chatter tracked down a former box girl asks about her chicquarium experience. She says, in part:

HotelChatter: Did people hit on you a lot?
Ex-Standard Girl: No, you are not allowed to make eye contact with any one, you can't wave, or smile back at anyone or wave back. You pretty much have to pretend that there is no one there. And no one is allowed to take pictures of you.

She made $10/hour to lie around in her underwear. Sounds like blogging, only more lucrative.
