LA Times columnist Steve Lopez catches up with Ernest Adams, the homeless man who he's been talking to who was beaten so severely last fall he lost an eye. With the help of activist and blogger Brady Westwater, Ernest has gotten off the streets and into a subsidized apartment. It's his first home in 19 years.
