Gabrielle - what part of the city are you in? I have tried about a 1/2 dozen McD's in Pasadena & San Gabriel valley, and either a) they didn't know what I was talking about, b) they said they don't have them, but another McD (unspecified and unknown) probably does, or c) they said McD no longer sells them.

The Shamrock Shake doesn't always appear on the menu, but at most locations if you ask for it by name they can make you one.

If you are in downtown's financial district, the McDonald's on 7th Street between Flower and Figueroa (the Fine Arts Building)has them. I'll probably be dropping by later today or tomorrow. FYI, they quoted me $1.69 for a small, $1.89 for a medium, and $2.59 for a large.

There are Shamrock Shakes at the McDonald's at National and Sawtelle. I had one on Monday night, and it was as glorious as I remembered. Get thee hence!

it's not back at my neighborhood mcdonald's! from what i've gleaned from gothamist's readers, it's on a location-by-location basis. anyone know where i can find one? i hear they're more easily found in chicago, which is where i'll be next week. maybe i'll score one there. mmmm, minty goodness!

The Shamrock Shake's been back for a couple of years now. I had a moral dilemma back in 2004, when I gave up ice cream for Lent... but convinced myself that there was a loophole for Shamrock Shakes. Haven't had one yet this year, although time is running out!
