Tonight, Ozomatli plays on Jay Leno in support of their work on Herb Alpert's Tijuana Brass' Whipped Cream & Other Delights ReWhipped. They'll be joined by Herb Alpert himself in playing Love Potion #9.

Friday
If you saw Rock of Ages, narrator Lonnie does stuff in real life too: The Dan Band. You might have seen them in that movie Old School. Anyway, they play Friday, 8:00 p.m., at the Avalon in what looks like to be a residency for them again. At 10:00 p.m., Moby headlines at the URB 15th Anniversary Issue party. It looks like The Dan Band and the party are not on the same bill. So unless you can go hide in the Spider Club or Honey and sneak out again, that means you have to buy a ticket to each event.

Saturday
Don't judge a band by its crappy MySpace design. The Red Lights sound good and they play this Saturday at the Lava Lounge. However, you should judge the Lava Lounge for having an events page on their website that tells you to go to their MySpace page to view the events. They don't even hyperlink it. Who has time to go CTRL-C/CTRL-V?
