Happy b'day Hollywood: Liz Taylor

elizabethtaylor.jpgFebruary 27 is a good birthday for beauties. Leading the pack is Elizabeth Taylor, whose breathtaking looks, acting talent and dramatic offscreen life have defined grand Hollywood stardom. She turns 74 today.

But Joanne Woodward (who turns 76) is no small potatoes: she's also an Oscar-winning actress, a classic beauty, and has had a offscreen life that's undeniably cool — 48 years of marriage to Paul Newman.

Melrose Place hottie Grant Show turns 44 today; we hear he still lives in one of the canyons in Hollywood.

We're not sure where Cardinal Mahoney lives (there has to be some Archdiocese of LA residence, right?), but we do know today is his 70th birthday. He's working anyway; we think he presided over morning mass at the Cathedral.

NBA star James Worthy helped drive the LA Lakers to become national champions in 1985, '87 and '88; he never played for another NBA team. In 1982 he was the #1 draft pick, and 21 years later he was inducted to the basketball hall of fame. Today he holds an executive position at a Hermosa Beach company; we hope they get him a cake for his 45th.

Sincere singer and native Angeleno Josh Groban turns 25 today. A weeklong charity auction benefitting the Josh Groban Foundation closes tonight. As of this writing, a personal phone call from Josh is going for $3,560.
