Not that we care much about Dancing with the Stars or the fact that Drew Lachey and partner Cheryl Burke won the dance off last night, but we heard through the grapevine that ABC censors were hard at work Friday, saving the morals of the West Coast.
In a nutshell: Drew and pardner did a freestyle dance to the country tune "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" -- yeah, you read that classy title right -- and afterwards, one of the judges gushed that Nick Lachey's younger brother was "ready for the lead in 'Brokeback Mountain: The Musical!'" Drew responded by taking the hat off Burke's head and covering his tushie. Or at least that's what heard. We didn't see it. And neither did most of you.
Whew. LAist feels so much better and safer for being protected from Lachey's move. Don't you?

It was stupid and tasteless on Lachey's part especially given how gay, Chippendales-esque his routine was. And after than he's afraid of, what, getting raped? Please.
Now why are they censoring it? Cause it was an offensive, anti-gay thing to do, or because the mere mention of something gay could offend people?
Personally, I think they are making way too much of it. He was acting in the heat of the moment and in the middle of the excitement. BIG DEAL!!! I say grow up and get over it...I am sure they have seen alot worse...SR

But here's the thing: that by removing the incident from the later feed, the censors didn't even let folks on the West Coast have a chance to get offended.
COMEON people... GET OVER IT. I saw the clip on youtube and I thought it was funny. A perfect comeback for that stupid comment made by the judge. People need to relax - If you don't like it... I say - Go Phuck yourself! People are just to damn sensitive!!!
I do think the West Coast edit may have affected the results. I caught it while on vacation in Central time zone, so I saw Drew's tacky and unnecessary move -- and I didn't vote for him as planned. I put my votes toward Stacey instead. How many West Coasters, having seen what I did may have also chosen to vote differently? Jerry or Stacey could have walked off with the prize, but we'll never know, thanks to ABC.
Give me a break! The judge started it and Drew finished it. People are too sensitive. I too say, Get Over It.
