AM news: two halves, two big boats

Is half a Ferrari better than none at all? Only Stefan Eriksson, the guy who crashed this one in Malibu, knows for sure. Photo © 2006 by Hans Laetz.

It looks like a half of a redesign to us: the LA Times rolls out some design changes on its website. LA Observed has the happy memo from editor Joe Sappell.

The LA Times discovers Gustavo Arellano, the OC Weekly's Ask A Mexican columnist. Did this interview spark the paper's interest?

Daily News reporter Gerry Gittelson goes to Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp with Roger Daltrey, Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick and Bad Company drummer Simon Kirke and lives to tell the tale.

Everybody is all excited about the Queen Mary and Queen Mary II floating near each other. Everybody except us, that is. Insert ships-passing-in-the-night joke here.

OMG, the guy who did this to this car should be freaking killed!!! It looks like he might be okay (since the seats are still normal looking), but the Ferrari! Oh, my heart is breaking... he should be sentenced to riding a bike his whole life, no more cars.
