Weird Signs Around Los Angeles: Coffee & Coffee

coffeecoffee.jpg

We've noticed a lot of weird signs around the Los Angeles area, and we've decided that it is up to us to start chronicling and archiving these treasures. Who knows how much longer they'll be around? We already lost the beloved Ship's sign *sniff*, and we want to catch the rest before they fade into obscurity.

Over on Western, just north of 3rd street, on the east side of the street, you'll spot this gem. There, folks must really believe in truth and advertising. We think that they really want to impress upon you the point of what they serve. In case you didn't get it from the first part of the name, they really drive it home in the second part. And if you happened to miss that, they make sure you'll notice it on the awning above the doorway.

Apparently there may also be a sandwich.

Holy crap, I had taken a picture of this yesterday and was planning on posting something tonight! Bastards! (I say that with love.) What are the odds?!

Does it cost $0.65 more to get the Coffee to go? How about the coffee? :-)

This is my favorite weird (read: bad) sign in L.A. It's on the south side of Beverly near Vermont or Western.

so wrong ago

It's an awesome store name- who needs a bean, or a tealeaf, fer God's sake. It's on Western, south of Beverly, below Piper's. It's been there awhile, but I'm such a bad blogger I never snapped the photo. In case you want Coffee and nuthin' but.

It's obviously the "Live Live Nudes Nudes" of coffee shops.
