The morning starts off typical enough. Snooze three times, a half-asleep rush to get out the door, forgot my lunch on the counter. All of this would be fine if it weren’t for the car I was stuck behind for 8 blocks on Santa Monica Boulevard with the “Charlton Heston for President” bumper sticker. There would be a picture if coffee would have been involved first, but alas. If you only chose to put ONE bumper sticker on your car, why that one? If anyone has a picture of this or sees a car with a bumper sticker that is just crying out to be rear-ended, please send it along!
Then, if it’s not enough that the man whose family helped propagate oil consumption in this country has the nerve to tell us that “America is addicted to oil!” you can check out the link below in headlines that tell us about how Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot his “friend” while hunting in Texas over the weekend. This has made headlines of the NYTimes, but why not more coverage? More important seems to be Michelle Kwan pulling out of the Olympics. Priorities?

If you had one of those antiquated boxes that televised images appear on you would know that a cable network called CNN carried the story of the Cheney hunting accident as a lead quite frequently throughout the day.
Looks like someone's snarky. The link is this posting says that coverage in local media has not been happening in the dreaded red states.
