We're Still Looking For a Few Good Waffles

Our LAist Wafflequest (tm) has continued into 2006, threatening to dominate future culinary outings. If there's an untried waffle in sight, we'll order it.

Today's subject comes courtesy of Disneyland's "Carnation Cafe". Who can resist a Mickey Mouse waffle, sprinkled with sugar, and soon to be covered in butter and syrup? We couldn't. It was very tasty, but not really a waffle. It more resembled some sort of a breakfast cookie, and that waffle grid texture was really lacking. Funny how your taste buds can miss a texture almost as much as a taste. Still, it was quite delicious, bargain priced (unless you count park admission, ouch), comes with your choice of bacon or sausage, a side of fruit, and the somewhat satisfying and creepy experience of dining on Mickey's face. So far this has been our best waffle in Orange County.
