This post is like Lewis Black on The Daily Show. Sometimes there are stories that slip through the cracks, big and small, around LA and we don't get to them during the week. Stories We Missed is here to catch them and bring them to you. Better late than never, right?
- Ambitious-Outsiders, our favorite website for keeping track of local indie shows, is going on hiatus, maybe for good.
- Tonga Hut, our favorite valley dive bar (which we've kept secret til now), is under new management. We hope the change doesn't mean an end to it's crazy charm. Emphasis on the crazy.
- The LA Weekly's Zeitlist is all kinds of good stuff. Check out the web exclusive Hater's List and Defamer's Faux Nightclub list. Bonus: The Aesthetic's Top 10 top 10 lists of 2005 they want to see.
- City Beat checks out Laura Chick and her quest to audit LAUSD while the LA Independent thinks Villaraigosa should probably get a Hollywood Star or something. Maybe we can put his right next to Queen Latifah's. (Seriously? The Queen La has a star? We love Dana Owens but come on.)

I love(d) ambitious-outsiders too, but they haven't had a up to date show calendar in ages. Check out losanjealous.com. They have a great calendar with early scoops. That's where I spy my show listings these days.
