Not for tourists

The hipster cityguide Not for Tourists is debuting its sassy 5th edition LA NFT just in time for the holidays. If you've got the 4th edition, some changes you'll notice are new sections on Zuma and Pedro, MOCA and sports. And the handy nightlife and restaurant and movie theater listings. All by neighborhood. Whew! It's enough to drive you to drink.

Which you can do for free at the Not for Tourist launch party this Saturday -- as long as you show up between 9:30-10:30pm and order vodka drinks. The liquor isn't the only reason to arrive early -- the first couple hundred people who show up will get a free copy of the new NFT guide.

It's happening at Guy's (8713 Beverly, near Robertson) and it's invite-only. So why are we spreading the word? We hear you can get an invite right here (click on Los Angeles).

These books are sorta cool for finding out where the nearest hospitals & police stations are, but I really prefer Black Book's guide to L.A. for nightlife and eats. It cuts out all the bullshit places. Plus, the Black Book Guide is funny too!
