Rest in Peace

Stan Tookie Williams was pronounced dead at 12:35 this morning in San Quentin, after being executed by lethal injection for the deaths of four people in 1979.

The Los Angeles Times website has extensive coverage on Williams' death. One article headline reads that "Williams Accepts Execution Quietly." (On the other side of town, the Daily News lead story notes that Brokeback Mountain leads all Golden Globe nominations. (Is it us, or is there something very wrong with that?)

Regardless if you were pro- or con-Tookie, or for or against the death penalty, the man -- and four victims -- are now all dead. Let them rest in peace.

No, thanks. I prefer to give his corpse a few swift kicks. Along with his pathetic supporters. When do we fry Mumia?

Can anyone tell me the name of one of the four people he murdered?

It would be nice if we ocassionally wished them a peaceful rest.

Lest we forget the victims' names:

Albert Owens;
Yen-I Yang;
his wife Tsai-Shai Chen Yang; and
their daughter Yu Chin Yang Lin.
