Blogging below the line

grips.jpgMore news from the land of LA blogs this week, behind the scenes of Tinseltown.

Celia gets out of downtown and soaks up some fantastic curmudgeonliness from William Goldman. (Oscars for the screenplays Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid and All the President's Men, wrote both the novel and movie of Princess Bride, plus too many other fantastic things).

Peggy Archer's behind the scenes film crew blog links to photo portraits of grips. Grips are mostly guys, mostly kinda burly, mostly could kick our ass. Need we say we think they look fabulous?

TV news photographer Bryan Frank snaps behind the scenes pics at a CHP/KCAL toy drive. The pictures are luminous and include the CHiP who used to make women speed on freeways in hope of being pulled over, Erik Estrada.

30-minute meals queen Racheal Ray shows up 15 minutes late, fans eat it up. (sorry, Lindsay)

Don't be spreading rumors about me leaving downtown - the William Goldman interview was at the Convention Center in beautiful downtown Los Angeles.
