Cranky vegans

bkvegan.jpg

Burger King has begun an ad campaign to promote its new meaty meat burger. "Just when you decided to go vegan: the triple whopper sandwich" pokes fun at vegans, or at the decision to become vegan. Now anyone who's ever made the choice to stop eating meat would not be lured by an extra fast food beef patty or two. So the concept is kind of silly, and likely to pass quickly into the dustbin of low culture.

Yet a vegan has gotten cranky about it. This billboard on Vermont near 3rd has been awkwardly amended "Stay vegan. stay true. The triple murder sandwich." We're not so sure that three beef patties at Burger King requires killing three cows, but why quibble.

Seen any other revised signs? Or is this the work of a lone cranky vegan?

Incidentally, we had a single murder sandwich and, for $2 extra dollars, walked away with a Han Solo watch.
