Proposition Expositions

CalCapitol.jpg

Common Cause California and local universities are hosting a series of "Proposition Expositions" and other events with speakers detailing the pros and cons of the very confusing propositions on the ballot for the November special election. Unfortunately, they're all mid-day on weekdays, but if you get a chance to check them out they should be informative. Common Cause is nonpartisan but has, as an organization, endorsed redistricting as described in Prop. 77.

To add to the already various and sundry planned meetings, we here at UCLA are having a Town Hall meeting this Wednesday afternoon (sorry) at 3pm on Propositions 74, 75, and 76. It's called:
"Unwelcome Propositions: The Governor's Special Election" It's at Ackerman Grand Ballroom and for more information you can go to www.unwelcomepropositions.com

Forgive the spam-like nature of the message, but this is an important election and we hope people take this seriously.
