• Little Pedro's features "Clash of the Tetris" with a live performance by 8 Bit Weapon. Play in the 8-bit Tetris tournament and enjoy $2 Pabst, $5 well drinks and no cover. Starts at 10 PM.

• The New Beverly is showing City of God at 7:30 PM, followed by Amores Perros at 10 PM.

THURSDAY

• The Fiery Furnaces and Great Northern play tonight at the Troubadour. Tickets are $20; doors open at 8 PM.

• For those who didn't get tickets to their sold out show at the Troub, Supergrass will be performing at a free in-store at Amoeba Music tonight at 7 PM.

• The New Pornographers are at the Henry Fonda Theater tonight. Doors open at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $16.

• David Rakoff presents and signs his new book of essays, Don't Get Too Comfortable at Book Soup tonight at 7 PM. (LAist recommends picking this up if you want a good laugh.)

• Hugh Hefner will be appearing at the Taschen Store in Beverly Hills for a book signing between 6 and 8 PM tonight.

• Tonight is the reception for the exhibit "Details of Distinction: Defining Architectural Details of Frank Lloyd Wright and His Progeny," featuring photographs of buildings by Frank Lloyd Wright, John Lautner, Rudolph Schindler and Richard Neutra. • MOCA Grand Avenue hosts Basquiat co-curator Fred Hoffman, discussing the life and works of the artist at 6:30 PM. Admission is free.

• RESFest LA opens tonight, featuring a keynote address by Mark Romanek. Saturday features Just For Kicks, a documentary on sneakers, plus the Icon Chef Designer Challenge, pitting designers from LA, New York, Chicago and San Francisco against each other in a timed challenge. Saturday also features a Beck Retrospective, Infamy—Doug Pray's documentary on graffiti, and a sneak peek at Richard Linklater's new film, A Scanner Darkly. On Sunday, the festival closes with Ginga: The Soul of Brasilian Football and Four Seasons of Traktor: A Retrospective.

FRIDAY

• Keane and The Long Winters perform tonight at the Greek Theatre. Tickets are $37; the show starts at 7:30 PM.

SATURDAY

• USC's Thornton School of Music presents cellist Ruslan Biryukov and pianist Mary Au at the Newman Recital Hall tonight at 8 PM, performing works by Beethoven, Schumann, Debussy and Shostakovich. Admission is free.

• Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age and Autolux take of the Hollywood Bowl. tonight at 7 PM. Tickets are $35-95.

• Neil Gaiman will be on hand to sign Anansi Boys at Vroman's Bookstore tonight at 7 PM. (There are rules about this event, so please check Vroman's site before making plans.)

SUNDAY

• The Old Bank District Artwalk returns, featuring open lofts, galleries and live music today from noon to 5 PM, coinciding with the 100-year anniversary of the Farmers and Merchants Bank Building at 4th and Main. The event is free and open to the public.

• The Fold at Tangier features Mt Egypt. Cover is $5.

MONDAY

• Lavender Diamond begin their residency at The Echo tonight at 8:30 PM. Admission is free. [21+]
