CUPERTINO, California - In a stunning move today that is sure to send shockwaves through the digital music industry, Apple Computer today announced the new "iPod Pica", the world's smallest digital music device carrying the slogan, "100,000 Songs At Your Fingertips."

According to Steve Jobs, the new device can hold over 100,000 songs, features a color display (and included viewing scope), Photo cabalilities, and the ultimate in portability. "We wanted our users to be able to take their music with them anywhere, without worrying about anything taking up too much space. The iPod itself, the iPod mini, and even the iPod shuffle are insanely great items, but let's be frank, they take up valuable space that could be used for other things, like a comb, stamps, or even a spare roll of 100 dollar bills."

The new iPod Pica also has optional accessories, including an armband carrier, a backpack, car attachment, ski pole dock, glue bottle, tooth mount, and fingertip straddleband, all available through the Apple Store.

Just checked out the iPod Nano http://www.apple.com/ipodnano/.

Awesome... They keep getting incrementally smaller. You jest, but the pica isn't far off. ;)

is the nano replacing the mini? With a color display?

That's just cruel.

I'm still using the generation 2 iPod, which looks like a Hummer or oversized SUV in comparison. I'm curious to see what they'll do to the current iPod line. The 60G is cool, but the design is getting dated. My prediction is more FlashRAM-based pods. Eliminating the hard drives should extend the life, make them slimmer and extend battery life.

Props to Apple for always outdoing themselves. When I saw the graphic on this post, I wanted to believe it. If Apple's smart, they'll register the iPod Pica wordmark ASAP. ;)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA THIS IS THE MOST HILARIOUS ARTICLE OF ALL IM SENDING IT TO ALL OF MY FRENDS AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
