Staying Cool
A couple of Angelenos enjoy a momentary blast of cold air, courtesy of the Sunset Junction organizers. Although the mercury reached 100 degrees in many parts of the Southland, it wasn't enough to keep locals from having fun.
For those who haven't sampled the Sunset Junction Street Festival, it's hard to describe. You'll see families and tourists walk side by side with hipsters and the leather crowd. You'll find everything from toe rings to lemonade on sale. Couple all of the flotsam and jetsam with an impressive--if not eclectic--music lineup, and suddenly it's easy to see why people braved the heat. There's something for [almost] everyone here.
