I've never taken an actual tour, just wandered around. I love your photos, especially the ones that highlight the wonderful art and craftmanship of the architectural details. Great post.

Ive taken the daytime morning weekend tour. I loved it and would do it again.

An interesting fact I took with me, was that deco from the depression era tended to be more geometric, sparse and paired down, echoing the country's mood. Wheras art deco from the 20's tended to be more opulent, utilizing sumptuos materiasl and highly decorative facade details. I love this kind of stuff so I thought it was really intersting.

Sorry if I wasn't clear about that! I have been meaning to check out the weekend tours but I usually have Search and Rescue training on the weekends. Thanks!

specifically what you are talking about is the summer EVENING tours. people can go on the Art Deco, Historic Core and Broadway Theatre tours every Saturday morning at 10am (with a reservation). glad you enjoyed the tour, i have a hard time picking out my favorite - they're all great!
