We called it Hell-A-X two weeks ago but a new study focusing on the risks of construction at the airport points out that it could get a lot worse. Both The Daily Breeze and the LA Times write about the 1500 page report that includes details on moving a runway closer to El Segundo. The Times focuses on the health risks, cancer in particular, while The Breeze focuses on...the noise. El Segundo is suing the city over the proposed plan.
The shifting of the runway is necessary, according to LA World Airports, to decrease the likelihood of planes crossing paths as they land and depart. There have been seven near-misses this year.

LAX sucks. If I can't fly out of Burbank, I don't go. And, if family or friends want to visit and have to fly into LAX, i get a car service to pick them up.
If I never go to LAX again it will be too soon.
