I'm so sad--that's my Trader Joes. Now I'm going to have to spend forever hunting for parking in that horrible lot at the La Brea location? Ick. p.s. Didn't that Denny's close a few years ago?

nicknames: there's also "rock n' roll denny's" on sunset and "tranny tacos"/"tranny donuts" on santa monica/highland. also, margaret cho referred to the shakey's on santa monica as something like "hustler shakey's," and the almost-entirely gay audience seemed familiar with that nickname. though i might be entirely wrong about the "hustler" part. feel free to correct me.
