Bustin' Bootleggers

It used to be "You can click but you can't hide" but now the MPAA is going even further. While it might be small potatoes compared to the $4.8 million police were granted to get you to buckle up, the MPAA has given $186 grand for surveillance cameras to be placed in LA's downtown Fashion district -- the "hotbed of hard copy movie piracy" according to Daily Variety.

C|Net suggests that the cameras are probably high resolution enough to be able to show the difference between counterfeit and used DVD packaging as the used DVD resale market is legal. So, cheapskate sith lords, enter Santee Alley for your poorly dubbed shaky camera Star Wars knockoffs at your own risk: Yoda isn't the only one with mad saber wielding skills. We hear the LAPD can swing a baton with the power of the Force, too.

Isn't that right, Emperor Glickman?

a bit ironic that you have "click it or ticket" and "you can click..." on the same day

"The Man" is obsessed with clicking.
