Abbot's Pizza is NOT for the foo foo crowd. It's only become so in the past few years due to all the press for the neighborhood. And I too would like to see a Chicago-style pizza place in LA. However, you're comparing applies and oranges....

Abbot's Pizza doesn't really blend in all that well with the $9,000 midcentury couches on Abott Kinney... it's still fairly old school and definitely delicious. But, LA really has no GREAT, cheap pizza. I just can't understand why. The best I have found is Antica Pizza in Marina Del Rey, but who has time to go to MDR for pizza? The whole point of pizza is to have a neighborhood spot, not to drive for 20 minutes to get great pie.

Abbot Kinney is good for the "foo foo" hipster crowd, but I still await a good Chicago style pizza joint in Los Angeles I'm not a hater on NY style, but I'm dying for some caloric bad for your diet goodness that is a chicago deep dish.
