Moving to Los Angeles, for me, engendered the same happiness as receiving a large signing bonus for taking a new job. It's not for everybody; people who are the happiest in L.A. are the one's here for work in the film/tv or related industries or the ones who love the standard-setting variety of indoor and outdoor recreational activities. If your not specifically here for the aforementioned reasons, but you like the idea of warm weather and So Cal beaches, I'd say move to San Diego or Orange County. Jeez though, Vegas!? It's like some obese, cut-rate Palm Springs governed by Six Flags.
