<description>&lt;p&gt;LAX has nothing to do with it. The NFL approved the deal in 1995. 

Al Davis had a few issues though. One was that the NFL wanted to put a second team in Hollywood Park. Davis wanted the stadium for himself. Second, was that he didn&apos;t think the stadium could be built by 1997, and he couldn&apos;t bear to play in the Coliseum for an additional year. Third, Davis had a conversation with John Madden, who convinced him that LA fans didn&apos;t have the same rowdy spark as Oakland fans. 

The airport had nothing to do with anything. &lt;/p&gt;</description>
