An upcoming trip has LAist leaving town on a numbingly early flight from LAX. How to get there? Take a shuttle and risk mistakenly reserving a spot on the line that's owned by extreme right-wingers? Hope for the public-transporation best and schlep a combo subway and bus? Bribe those we love out of the sleep they deserve? Maybe the solution is to pick a parking lot and let the car rest there for a few days. We've had some luck with C, which has decent access from the 105, but we're no expert. Which long-term parking lot at LAX has the perfect balance of un-crowdedness, cheapness, and convenient shuttles? Can we get a shuttle driver who plays something cooler than KOST?

I used Johnny Park and had no complaints. They were very nice and have coupons on their website.
That's two for Johnny Park. I wish they had more than two shuttles (that wait on the curb after you've gotten home is frustrating) but they treat your car very nice and will even wash it for 10 bucks if you want them too.
Plus, you can choose inside or outside parking.
I've always parked at Lot C. It's pretty convenient if you're coming in on the freeway, and the shuttles are reasonably frequent.
I just wish LAX would label the areas where the shuttles stop at the terminals better. At some terminals it's hard to figure out where they're going to pick you up.
Use the Parking Spot. They have two lots, good service, usually mail out coupons to get you valet for rooftop price parking, and you get free bottled water. I've used them a few times and always been happy.
I used Jonny Park the last several times, and it is cheap and relatively close. However, the last time I was waiting for their shuttle at Terminal 1, I counted 20, yes TWENTY Wally Park shuttles come and go before the Jonny Park shuttle came.
FYI--If you have a KCRW Fringe Benefits card, you can get 20% off at the Parking Spot. I've parked there for my last few trips & been quite happy with the location & service.
Let me put in a third plug for The Parking Spot. It's probably the best airport parking service that I've ever used: fast, convenient, always available. The bottled water, newspapers, and KCRW discounts are just icing on the cake.
