Angeleno natives and audiophiles alike are familiar with the staple spring-and-fall event on Highland: Aron's Parking Lot Sale.
The contents of Aron's used bins—about 170,000 discs—go on sale for bargain prices, between $.25 and $3, lined up in boxes in the (surprise!) parking lot. First-time visitors to the sale can spot frequent shoppers by their headphones, listening to CD purchases they are contemplating as they sort through the bins.
For those with a few hours to spend sorting through the complete disorder of the stacks, the parking lot sale is a great place to go in search of rare or out-of-print titles, or just some great bargains. Used items within the store will be on sale, as well.

Aron's Parking Lot Sale will take place this weekend:
• Saturday, April 2nd from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Sunday, April 3rd from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Just as a clarification, the sale happens (I think) not in the actual Aron's lot but in a parkinglot nearby on Highland. Is that right? Anyway it won't be hard to find because you still park in the Aron's lot!
Every time I've been to the Aron's Parking Lot sale, it actually happens in Aron's lot, as well as the adjacent storage warehouse.
As a result, parking is always a pain, since there isn't much street parking to go around before the crowds descend upon the sale.
Aron's still exists in a post-Amoeba Los Angeles??
go figure...
Thanks for the info, i'll check it.
