The Birds & the Bees & the Flowers & the Trees

Beat the Valentine's Day rush and take your honey to dine au natural (that means in nature, doesn't it?) with an outdoor dinner Saturday night at the Audubon Center at Deb's Park. Since it's outside, you'll want to bundle up warm enough to watch the sun set, take a little hike, and dine as the crickets strike up their serenade. Dinner and desert and promised surprises are $25; wine is available on site for a few more ducats. A separate (indoor) dining experience is set up for kids, so you can make it a family event but still get away for the romantic dinner. You'll be at the Audubon Society's first urban nature center in the country, tucked into a wild, sprawling, overlooked park midway between downtown and Pasadena, right off the 110.

In addition to all the flora and fauna, you'll have the moon up above and a thing called love.
