He's Bad (Or, Not Bad) -- Let the Jury Decide

The most high-profile case in the history of Santa Maria, California continues today as "dozens more prospective jurors in the Michael Jackson trial will be in court" to answer questions that will either grant them a golden ticket to serve on the jury or send them pouting into the real world, where their prospect of writing the book "Thriller: My Year As A Juror on the Michael Jackson Case" will be zilch to none.

Nevertheless, NBC4 continues to document the highly yawnable process with images, video and engaging stories about a woman whose excuse for getting out of serving on the Jury of Billie Jean was that she had a diabetic mother sitting at home who could not take a backseat to this Smooth Criminal. Really, it was bad. So bad.

Personally, here at LAist we know that no citizen of this here United States is guilty until proven so, but Mr. Jackson's freaky actions over the past decade have done nothing but give us the willies over and over and over again. Really, couldn't he just spend his time speeding around in overpriced foreign automobiles, getting caught at the airport with a firearm and/or overdosing on prescription drugs like the rest of Hollywood's elite? At least then, he might have more of our respect.

As for innocent or guilty -- we think you already know how this one's going to play out.

LAist's MJ Case Prediction: Innocent.
