Things That Make You Go Hummm...

New to Los Angeles? Looking for a way to make a long-lasting impression on all the cool, hip and happening folks spending their hard earned cash on living the life? Fed up with billboards and normal television advertising as a way to get your own personal brand forcefed upon as many Angelenos as possible? There is a solution.

An insane solution, but a solution nonetheless.

LAist was stunned and amused to find this eBay auction go up today in which a sneaky entrepreneur has offered up the most amazing item ever. For the low, low price of $150,000, said auctioneer will buy a Hummer, plaster your logo on the side of it, have it pimped -- and drive around to all the hot spots throughout Los Angeles County.

Yes, you read correctly.

Exactly who would drop that kind of cash is less of a question than who would come up with the idea, but then again -- that answer is available to you by clicking above. And, here at LAist, we're never surprised. Between selling your family on eBay for weekend get togethers and/or selling your virginity to the highest bidder -- selling advertising space for $150,000 is actually quite a good deal when you think about what Super Bowl advertisers will pay.

Then again, when it's all a ruse to get people to watch your movie Loveholstery that "an agent at ICM liked, but didn't love," well, it just makes us sad and depressed cause, well, we wanted to buy an H2 for $150k.
