XETRA/690, based out of Tijuana, has huge power since it's not regulated by the FCC. It goes all-standards. KXTA/1150 is about to turn into KTLK/1150, "K-Talk," consisting mostly of Air America programming. You'll have to check with San Diego folk, but they may still be able to receive 570 AM, which boasts a pretty strong signal as well...

"Showtunes" are moving to 1150 or 690, I believe. Anyway, I never had a problem with getting 690, don't they have some massive transmission tower? I remember when it was a top 40 AM station back in the early 80's. Same 20 songs all day long...

I for one liked it the way it was including the LA sports talk - but I'm also a Bruin. Many people down here listen to 1090 after some hosts left 690 for that station.
