• At the Egyptian Theatre, tonight is the John C. Reilly Tribute, starting at 7:15 PM, and featuring screenings of Hard Eight and Magnolia. There will be a discussion with the actor between films.

• At the Aero Theatre, tonight is the final night of screenings for Golden Globe-nominated foreign language films. Tonight features Yimou Zhang's House of Flying Daggers and Walter Salles' The Motorcycle Diaries. The films begin at 7:30 PM, and each will be introduced by the director.

Also, tomorrow afternoon at the Egyptian Theatre, there will be a 1 PM seminar with all five nominated foreign language directors.

• Tonight is also the Hammer Bash! party celebrating the closing weekend of "The Undiscovered Country." Admission to the museum and the event are free, and the gallery will be open until 11 PM.

Dutton's Brentwood hosts writer and poet Ben Pleasants tonight at 7 PM when he signs Visceral Bukowski, a memoir of his 20-year friendship with one of Los Angeles' most enduring literary icons.

• Tonight at the Troubadour, Jesse Malin performs with Waz and Rick Bachus. Doors open at 8 PM and tickets are $12 in advance.
