Happy New-ish Year

Things are still moving slowly—rain notwithstanding—as everyone recovers from the holiday weekend, so tonight sounds quiet. LAist will certainly be home, curled up watching "House" to keep away from the damp and any residual holiday traffic.

All this month, Helen Stellar will be the Monday night house band at The Echo. Admission is free and tonight's openers are Gliss and Univac.

At the New Beverly Cinema, tonight is a Wes Anderson double feature with Bottle Rocket at 7:30 PM, followed by Rushmore at 9:20 PM.
