At The Smell, see Portland's own no-wavers Glass Candy and the Shattered Theatre with Chromatics and Danava. Doors open at 9:00 PM and admission is $5.00.

At The Echo, see '60s-inspired pop from The Faraway Places and their special guests, Spindrift and Bedroom Walls. The show starts at 8:30 PM and the cover is free. [21+]

8:00 PM at the Knitting Factory brings us Rogue Wave with The Vells and Things Explode for a reasonable $8.00.

In film, AFI at ArcLight presents the first of two evenings with Brazilian director Walter Salles. Tonight he will participate in a Q&A session following the screening of his film Central Station. The show starts at 8:00 PM.
