Yabba-Dabba-Yuck!

Where in LA can you find this faux-rock formation, complete with the smell of stale urine, and one of the filthiest BBQ grills LAist has ever laid eyes on? Bonus points to any urban explorer who knows the history of the site.

And no, the headline isn't a hint. Just thought the place was Flintstonesque.

It looks like the old LA Zoo in Griffith Park. I believe these caves were used for the bear exhibit. A friend had a barbecue in front of the caves this summer.

Dude, that didn't take long...

Thought I was going to be able to stump you guys, but you were all over it.

You know, every paper in town, from the old New Times to the Pasadena Weekly has had a "here in the hell is this" photo quiz. Every place different has been done to death. Just cuz it's new to you doesn't mean it's new to anyone else.

Didn't realize it had been represented as new. All apologies if you feel cheated.

As well, every paper in town has (had) an old curmudgeon who likes to criticize their features and complain about how it isn't "new" enough for them. Thanks for representin'!

of course, that is so freaking easy. the old zoo! there used to be free symphony concerts there for years and years. sadly, i did not recieve anything about the concerts this year and so iassume the money ran dry. it was really sad to know that something to great was lost. everyone would bring blankets and picnics and settle on that grassy knoll. last year they had to cut back the shows to two. doess anyone know anything specific about "symphony in the glenn" and what happened?

wow, rachel.

PMS much?
