At the Egyptian Theatre, Outfest Wednesday features a special pre-release screening of Stage Beauty. Set in 1660s London, the film follows actor Edward Kynaston (Billy Crudup) as stage politics are shifting and women are allowed on stage for the first time. The film starts at 7:30 PM.

Head over to the AMPAS Linwood Dunn Theatre to see a free double feature: The Fog of War and The Weather Underground. Both documentaries focus on the turbulent politics of the 1960s in America; the show begins at 7:30 PM.

At Largo, see David Garza and The Ditty Bops beginning at 8:00 PM.

Dowtown at The Smell, see Seattle's Akimbo with Saviors and Tafkata. Doors open at 9:00 PM and tickets are $5.00.

What a great double bill of docs. Both of those films, which deal with the Vietnam War from two different persepctives, have tremendous resonance today. The Weather Underground is especially thought-provoking, as it examines the internal process a person must go through in order to justify the use of terrorism as a means of advancing political agendas.
