Hollywood Park racetrack is the Southern Californian version of the "Who's Buried in Grant's Tomb?" brainteaser.
The misnamed landmark is located in Inglewood, not Hollywood, and it's a race course, not a park. There is some tangential Hollywood connection since it was founded in 1938 as The Hollywood Turf Club by many film stars, directors and producers.
We're not sure what the excuse is for Bellflower's Hollywood Sports Park and many other establishments that borrow Hollywood's cachet by adding the word to signs and names.
Gertrude Stein once wisecracked that "there's no there, there" in California, but it's awfully confusing if "there" isn't even where it's supposed to be.
What are some other misnamed Southern Californian landmarks or locations?

Hollywood Park is named as such because it was originally financed by a number of Hollywood film executives.
'Oaklanders are understandably frustrated by the misuse of the most famous quote said about their city. "There's no there there," was uttered by Gertrude Stein in reference to her family no longer being in the city, and did not have anything to do with the city itself.'

Hawaiian Gardens is neither.
In OC, Irvine Lake is actually not in Irvine.
Cerritos College is located in Norwalk, not Cerritos.
Anaheim Bay is in Seal Beach, I believe.
