I've seen a couple of Michelle's Doughnuts that look like Michelle may have lived chez Winchell for a while.

As I expected, there are lots of former ex-KFCs on that site. I see them all over the place.

China Chili in Upland, Mix Bowl (excellent Thai place) in Pomona are two I can think of off the top of my head. Oh, and there's one in Dana Point which was converted into a hamburger place at one point. (May be something else now, I haven't looked for it recently.)

A few Cali. examples that immediately come to mind are:
House of Pies on Hollywood & Whitley (check cashing place, terrazzo logo in sidewalk remains); House of Pies on Olympic and San Vicente (Hunan Taste Chinese restaurant); recently converted Taco Bell Hollywood at Oxford near Thai Express (think it's another Thai place); and Taco Bell on University Ave. in Berkeley is now something else.
