You people are all crazy. I can see none of you are going to get out alive.

Oh well, at least you'll die happy with your vanilla cones and bacon cheeseburgers and guacamole.

FYI today is free cone day at Dairy Queen! From the DQ website:

Come celebrate the last day of summer with a free cone from Dairy Queen benefiting Children’s Miracle Network. A free 5 oz. vanilla ice cream cone (one cone per customer) will be served at participating Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill locations nationwide. Celebrate with us on Tuesday, September 21, 2004.

Location finder here: http://www.dairyqueen.com/en-US/Locate+A+Dairy+Queen/default.htm

Is the Sunset and La Brea store still open? It doesn't come up.

The weirdest combo has to be Fuddrucker's/Koo Koo Roo. Located inside spots that were once just Koo Koo Roo, the smell of the Fuddrucker's burgers now overpower. Koo Koo Roo used to promote itself as the healthy alternative to fast food... but now you show up for chicken and all you can smell is the greasy hamburgers.

Nothing is stranger than the KFC/Taco Bell/Pizza Hut combos that exist.

JBX ROCKS. To anyone who has tried it, it is WAY better than any fast food out there and even though it's a little more expensive, it's way more satisfying. I look foward to more of them popping up over the next few years.

and it's only going to get more confusing in Fastfoodland.
LA Times reports that fast food corps are introducing new concepts to compete with the boom in "fast casual" restaurants springing up around the country.
http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-casual20sep20,1,4982997.story

"Jack in the Box Inc. announced last week that in the next five years it may convert as much as 15% of its roughly 2,000 company-owned and franchised fast-food restaurants to a fast-casual concept called JBX.

"At JBX, customers can wash down a $5.95 chicken-avocado club sandwich with a $2.55 vanilla bean shake and coat their fries in any of six dipping sauces including wasabi or sweet and tangy barbecue. Food is delivered to customers by servers in a dining room featuring a fireplace, drop-pendant lighting and abstract and contemporary images of the company's fictional mascot, the moon-headed Jack."

Not sure why I know this, but El Pollo Loco partners with Foster's Freeze, not Dairy Queen.
