Halo Again
The Angels are back on our radar screen again after a surprising sweep of the Yankees in New York.
The sizzling Halos have won five straight, 10 of 11 on the road, and now find themselves just a half-game back of Oakland in the AL West thanks to a resurgent pitching staff. Even Bartolo Colon is pitching reasonably well of late.
While we're not convinced the Dodgers can hang onto their four and a half game lead, for now LAist is gearing up for what should be a thrilling AL September pennant race with the Angels, A's, and Rangers battling for a division crown, while the wild card race with the Red Sox is still very much in the picture.
In the meantime, the Angels may get a needed boost from Troy Glaus, who could return in time for the postseason.
