Good day and Happy Friday to you, LAists. Glad to see we've made it through the week and are on the verge of what promises to be an eventful weekend. Keep reading for all today's upcoming entertainment.

Tonight at The Echo, catch a pre-Sunset Junction Party featuring music by Canadian popsters The Unicorns, Fraus Dots and Sub Title. Doors open at 8:00 PM and tickets are $12.00 at the door.

Across town at the Troubadour see the mid-'90s alt-rock of the Presidents Of The United States Of America with Vagenius and The Nervous Return. Tickets are $15.00 advance and doors open at 8:00 PM.

In film, the New Beverly has a double feature of two 1950 classics: Billy Wilder's Sunset Blvd. and In a Lonely Place starring Humphrey Bogart, at 7:30 PM and 9:40 PM, respectively.

The weather has been lovely, so the free outdoor screening of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at LACMA would be a great way to enjoy the evening. The movie begins at 8:00 PM; bring a blanket or chair to sit on.

In art, head for the Harmony Gallery in Hollywood for the Canyon Club group art show opening reception, starting at 7:00 PM. Original Bones Brigade team rider Paulo Diaz will be performing live on sitar at 9:00 PM, plus DJs spinning the rest of the night, giveaways from Astralwerks Records and beer courtesy of Red Stripe. Harmony Gallery is located at 5911 Franklin Ave, a few blocks east of Beachwood, right next to LaPoubele.
