Patty Duke, Hollywood Star

Hollywood-walk-of-fame.jpg

A collective sigh of relief blew through Hollywood today as Patty Duke, the star of the 1962 film The Miracle Worker, received her very own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.

Although LAist often sits back and thinks of Patty Duke fondly, having had been entertained immensly by her turn as twins on "The Patty Duke Show" way before "Big Brother 5" integrated such a concept, apparently the rest of the world isn't quite sure who the woman is. Duke, while accepting the honor that was a result of thousands of dollars worth of donations to the City of Los Angeles, mentioned playfully that her granddaughter told her, "Now that you have a star, people will finally know who you are."

Kids. They sure say the darndest things.

Not twins! Identical cousins! IDENTICAL COUSINS!

There is no such thing as identical cousins.
