Bungled Break-In

Some us are scared of the mere idea of getting into a fender-bender with a lawyer. But some of us, on the other hand, have the temerity to go and rob the City Attorney's house. Yesterday, Robert McChesney was sentenced to 6 years in prison after burglaring the Windsor Village home of one Rocky Delgadillo, the city's top law enforcement officer. Delagdillo was elected in 2001 and is seen as a guy with serious political ambitions.

Delgadillo played football at Harvard before hitting the books at Columbia Law School. McChesney had just finished a stint in Folsom Prison on a drug charge. As for Rocky's future? Well, Jim Hahn made the move from City Attorney to Mayor in an easy jump. Rocky could seek to do the same - or he could strive for a gig in Washington. We'll have to see how it plays out in future elections.

Rocky also played for the Green Bay Packers.

And the insiders say his next stop is CA Attorney General, then Gov.
