Happy Monday, faithful LAists. In keeping with Monday tradition, tonight offers an array of quiet recreational activities to help ease you back into the week. Enjoy!

Doe-eyed darling Johnathan Rice will be performing tonight at the Hotel Cafe. Just 21, Rice sounds as though he learned to sing from a few too many listens to Tom Waits' Beautiful Maladies. Will Crum and Ascendant will open, starting at 8:00 PM.

Country rocker Bobby Bare Jr will be performing songs from his new record, From the End of Your Leash, during a free in-store at Amoeba Music at 7:00 PM.

If you missed Calexico over the weekend, you can still catch them tonight at the Detroit Bar. Lomax Monk & Greater California will be opening. Doors are at 9:00 PM with a $12.00 cover.

If you're in need of a laugh, comedians Sarah Silverman and Dana Gould will be performing at Largo. Doors open at 8:00 PM.

In film, tonight brings the RES Magazine video showcase at the Egyptian Theater. The show begins at 8:00 PM and features a Geoff McFetridge video retrospective, new short films from Suk & Koch, Brett Simon and Cheryl Dunn, plus new music videos for Placebo, Supergrass, Colder and the Cure, among others. A roof-top after-party at HKM will follow, with music by DJ Kiino Villand. Admission is $10.00.
