Best Neighborhood? Los Feliz. Best local politician? Tom LaBonge. Best public park? Griffith Park. Best event? Sunset Junction. Best Musical venue? The Echo... with Spaceland as the runner-up. Best bookstore? Skylight on Vermont.
LAist thinks it's time to change the Alternative Press' name to the Silver Lake Reader. Obvious picks like Amoeba Music and In-N-Out Burger take well-deserved crowns. But come on, hipsters - LaMonica's pizza is undoubtedly the best slice in town.
The Staff Picks are more palatable. We applaud the inimitable Jumbo’s Clown Room for taking the "Best Female-Friendly Strip Club" award, yet again.
